CRW Weekend

The WI CRW dogs will have organizers for both Saturday and Sunday. We will be jumping at a wingloading of 1.3-1.35. This month's organizer is multiple times medalist for flying parachutes pretty good, former member of the US Skydiving Team, and current US Canopy Formation Team manager, Brian Martin (If you don't know, he's a pretty big deal). If you have Lightning, great! We'll see you there. If you need to borrow gear, get in touch so we can get that all sorted out ahead of time. While this is not intended to be a "first-timer", if you are interested in learning canopy formation, please ask about some 1-on-1 coaching on any one of the other weekends so that you can tune up your canopy skills and join the big dogs during the 1st weekend events.

Hoe-Down #12

Are you sad that the year almost half over and it still doesn't feel like summer? Are you itching to break out your tight jeans, chaps, and cowboy boots? Want to stuff your face with delicious food and beers and watch video?

Well, what a coincidence, it's Hoe-Down time! We will start around sunset on June 22nd and go until whenever. I already have the 21st off work to cook and get my hopes up for a great Saturday, so please don't crush them.....

For our new or forgetful Sky Knights, this is the 12th year of a cowboy themed summer party that I put on at the club with homemade tacos, stuffed peppers, homemade mojitos, music (both types country and western), and hanging out with current and potential new friends! Everyone associated with the club is invited and welcome, this is a great time to hang out after Hanna's scrambles are done and listen to everyone tell lies about your jumps. I am an excellent cook, no one will leave hungry.

Bust out the cowboy hats, overalls, boots, Daisy Dukes, and bring your buckle bunnies.

Scrambles and Sport Accuracy

Scrambles and Sport Accuracy

SKSPC is hosting their annual RW Scrambles & Sport Accuracy. What? You like falling on your belly? With your friends? Great! We will be using the same format as years' past: Teams are drawn and split into small groups. The competition will consist of (5) RW jumps in small groups, led by some of your favorite Sky Knights. The first (3) three jumps will be 3-4 way jumps, before combining teams together for two more 6-8 way jumps. You can accumulate points in freefall and add to your individual points with landing accuracy. Like every game except golf, the person with the highest number of points wins. Whether you've got a fresh A-license or you're a sky god with 1,000's of jumps, this is for you! If you would like to attend, please fill out this form: Scrambles & Sport Accuracy Registration

Basic requirements: Have at least an A-license. Commit to 5 jumps. Show up to the briefing, ready to jump at 8AM. If you do not have your own gear or a jumpsuit, please let us know so that we can help make arrangements for you to participate and to dress for success.

Prizes are given for:

  • Overall winner

  • Rookie MVP

  • Best landing accuracy

  • Best freefaller

  • Golden Funnel Award

  • (New this year!!) Razzle Dazzle Landing Award--Whether you impress the judges in a good way or a bad way, landing style will put you on the list for this award.

June is National Beef and Dairy Month, so Sean Plastine and Hanna Albrecht will be grilling dinner on Saturday night. The menu is: Cooked cow products and ice cream. You don't have to do CRW to eat with us, but you should totally spend the day jumping so you have a big appetite!
